Default Subwoofer help

So in the Monte that I just bought there are two 10" Infinity Perfect 10 subs in the trunk, along with an MTX amp. The subs do not work. The guy that I bought the car from said that all the wires were running down the driver's side of the car. The amp is powered by a zero gauge wire. It and the remote turn on wire, and the RCA cables are all running together down the driver's side. The amp has power. It lights up when the radio is turned on.

I am thinking about running the RCA cables down the passenger side instead of the driver's side. I'm wondering if the proximity of the RCA cables to the power wire(s) isn't causing too much interference.

Does that make sense?

The RCAs should probably be run down the passenger side regardless.

Are you sure the RCA's are connected both to the amp and the headunit? Are the speaker wires for the sub all connected?

Is there even an aftermarket headunit? If so is the sub turned on, on the headunit?

I got them to work. I ran the RCA cables down the passenger side and that took care of it. It sounds awesome now. It has an Alpine deck with the factory amp and speakers. Amazing compared to the stereo in my old LS.

not necessarily, it's completely hit or miss.

Not sure about the door speakers, but I looked at the rears while I was working on the subs and they are stock. I'd like to replace them, but I've heard that some people don't recommend it. I've heard that it can actually make the system sound worse.
