Default Subs in the back seats.

Would it be a bad idea to put 2 10in shallow mount subs in front of the back seats on the floor? facing towards the front seats. if i put grills on them of course. i have used my back seats maybe 5 times since i bought it almost a year ago. im not looking for anything crazy to win contests just a little better bass.

Thanks

Sure. I had that in my 1993 Ford Taurus and I loved the staging that it provided. I used a bandpass box and the sound was very crisp.

just drop the 10's in the rear deck. IB givesthe most realistic bass, (infinite baffle) well depending on the sub. some subs dont do well in IB. look into it, i dont run IB so im not up to date on what subs run best in that format. but some JL's or something would be nice.

BUT MAKE SURE! you deaden the **** out of it.

That's not true at all....take a poll here and i'm sure the majority of people who have systems have rear speakers.

I don't know how that would sound (subs behind the front seats facing forward). Why would you go that route over just putting subs where they normally go, in the trunk?

Oh okay well im keeping my 6x9s. i just want more bass! idk either i would assume it would sound like a trunk? since they do the same thing. id like the trunk space for going to the beach. skimboards/surfboards etc.. and im a big golfer so if i can keep my trunk space then i would sure like to do so

If you just want a little bit of bass, you can get accomplish that with a single 10" sub, won't take up much space at all. Or you can still use those shallow subs you're talking about, those are one of the best shallow mount subs out there actually (well, the type R's are).
