sub direction

ok i have 2 12" and a ported box as of right now i have them pointing towards the back will it make any diff to point them twords the front

when you say back do you mean towards the trunk or towards the hood? mine are iun a custom made bax that is ported and they re facing down towards the spare

they should always point towards the back...you want the bass to bounce off of the back of the car.

I'm designing a box, and I need to know if anyone knows how good it would sound with the subs facing up?

This is not true.

I have been installing systems for about 15 years and, generally speaking, have come to this conclusion. If you have a ported box, fire the subs into the cabin, sealed box, fire them towards the rear with the box mouted as close to the back seat as possible.

This conclusion doesn't hold true in all cases either, the best thing to do is to try the different firing positions and see which one sounds better to your ears.
