Default 02 Monte no sound, need direction

Ok, I have been looking through these forums and have decided that my factory amp has gone bad and I have a couple of questions.

First, my factory headunit has power and the only thing that is going on is that I have no sound what so ever. I have found a couple of factory amps on ebay but was wondering if the ones that are in the 02 impala are the same and will work in my car? If so then I will attempt to go that route in trying to fix my issues.

Secondly, if the above solution will not work, I need to know which adapter to use to hook up the JL 300/4 amp that I have sitting around. I have seen a few that will allow me to bypass the factory amp but I haven't found one that specifically states it will work on the 02 monte. I could have just missed it but figured this was the place to come for direction.

I am sorry for the length of this and I thank everyone in advance for any help

i just sold my factory amp last week =/, i do believe that the amp from impalas will work fine, for your JL amp you will have to run rcas to it and then power the amp and run wires to the speakers from the amp, that amp is sending 75w rms to the stock speakers though, and i am willing to bet that will blow them rather fast

I wasn't sure what years amplifiers worked with what years so I was a little concerned as far as buying a replacement. What are you looking to get for that stock amp?
