Default stupid low beams again

Hey there guys so as some of you know I have been battling my car to get it how it used to be. I'm still waiting on new water pump and lower hose from rockauto.com so one early morning on my way to work I noticed the low beams wasn't on. The two side lights were on but no lows, fog lights worked fine, high beams were fine but wouldn't stay on. Then they randomly came on. The lows that is. And now it has done this again only this time they haven't come back On. The dimmer switch seems fine and all.people on the Facebook monte carlo forum and lisa's monte alliance says it's either the dimmer switch or the multifunction switch. I'm more towards the multifunction but I like to get more insight on things so questions and comments are welcomed

definently sounds like your multifunction switch, Ive been having a similar issue with my 6th gen 2000 ss, just the highs stay on. When you replace the switch you DO NOT have to remove the steering wheel to get at the one screw. Take a needle nose vise-grip and clamp it onto the screw bit. Use it like that and itll save you ALOT of work versus pulling the whole wheel off and playing with the airbag.
