Stop mirror vibration?
Hey all, I was wondering do any of you guys with subs have a problem with the mirror vibrating so much that it tilts down on its own? I have had this problem since I installed my subs, and have tried a couple of different things including repositioning, and i even tried stuffing something like poster putty in the back of the mirror to "jam" it up so it cant move. But to no avail my mirror still tilts down on its own. It is annoying to say the least and it bugs me that I cant see behind me, even though it is a blur I like to know what vehicles are behind me especially the 5-0. I thought I came across a product that claimed to eliminate the vibration a long time ago but I cant seem to find it now. Has anyone else had this problem or do I just have a weak mirror?
i have 12"'s in mine also and it dose viberate to but i dont have this issue.
But check your mirror and see if you can find a screw to tighten it up some and see if that will help some times they have some in there so you can adjust them and lock them down.
Also you could attempt to do it a diffrent way if you dont care if any one else is driving they wont have the mirror to use.
take it off the window.
then take a punch and ping the joint to make a small dent in it so it will hold right where you want it all the time.
Or even better try useing some lock tight or supper glue in to it to make it there and then you can break it free agian if you ever need to with some acidtone .

Yea I have this same issue with my subs too. It also drives me insane. I haven't found any solution for it yet either. But my mirror has an air bubble in it anyways, so I can barely see out of it anyways. And I have 5% window tint on the back too. So its all making it hard to see. But I even tried to find a screw. . . .and I can't find one. All I can see is it looks like its a ball joint that swivles around.
But good luck and let me know if you can find any thing to help. \
MonteriderLS out.
