Hi guys, mark here. Got a look at my stock speakers in my 98 Monte carlo and they seem to be 2-way. Both front & back sets have a tweeter in center. Is that normal for the 98 with factory head unit?(non bose) Need to get a little more power to them, my Sony MDX-7900 minidisc player just don't cut it alone. Thinking about adding a 200watt EQ just to keep it simple until I go Infinity later. Kinda miss the old school sound that the powered EQ would give ya. Thanks

 

Hi Mark. The factory speakers leave a lot to be desired. Just about anything would be a HUGE upgrade to the sound system.
