it would be between those rear speakers. least thats where they are in my sisters 05 impala and my 06 monte. some didnt come with amps however so you mayb in luck. having that stock amp i had to rewire the whole car and run new wires from the new radio to all new speakers and the new alpine amp im powering my speakers with to get a 4ohm load. the stock amps setups are at 2ohms. if you have the time run all new wires youll get more quality out of a 12 or 14 gauge speaker wire anyway rather than the little 16 or 18 gauge that the manufacturer runs throughout the cars system.

it should be inbetween both magnets, so my guess is you don't have one, its just straight off the stock receiver

Question....if you have an aftermarket amp and new speakers, why are you concerned with the factory amp?

he probably wants to remove it and get something for it.

since you have a 2000 you do not have to worry about a stock amp tho
