RE: Stereo Update!
if your electrical system ius adequate, you souldntneed the capacitor. It is only a bandaid for real problems. Do a big 3 upgrade, and make sure your grounds are shiney, unpainted metal. Get a deep cycle battery as well, it will make a big difference and eliminate the need for the cap. Trust me, with the cap gone, you will get more power from the system by taking out the electrical resistance in the line created by the cap. You will get more power faster. Caps also have the tendancy to explode.

I haven't done the big 3, and I don't have a capacitor. I DO have dual batteries, and the system is hooked to the Optima Yellow top, but it is a full dual battery system at this point. I do have a battery isolator, but it's not in right now. I'm running 1,300 watts of JL Audio power, and I have no problems with the lights or anything else. I was considering a bigger alternator, but everything is fine right now. If the alternator gets replaced, THEN I'll do the big 3. Until then, I believe the factory wiring is adequate.
Good luck and show us some pics!
