just got a new pioneer h.u deh700bt, always ran pioneer and will continue to, want to upgrade the speakers in doors and rear deck, have some low end pioneer now and am debating on ifinity line or alpine not sure, any info will be appreciated. 2006 monte carlo, no amp as of yet but will begin to look after information from y'all

 

Alpine! infinity is a good brand do not know a whole lot of info on them and i do not want to feed you a bunch of bs about them but i do know alpine is a really good sounding speakers. type r sounds great and loud. event the s will do for quality. i always thought infinity was over priced but alpine car compete with JL Audio. but i a jl and alpine guy not really an infinity guy, but i will support any alpine product you buy

 

I have Infinity Refrence speakers, two way6 1/2 in the doors , 3 way 6x9's in the rear deck, with a kenwood head unit at 50x4

I can turn these up and get nice bass out of my 6x9's to where it sounds like I got some subs,

I love Infinity, I have had 3 infinity systems, always one of my first upgrades to a car.

I do like the Infinity Kappa 6x9's and kappa componet speakers or infinity perfect component speakers.

I added memphis audio subs with a 2000 watt koiler amp and it sounds great, since I have more power to my subs I am gonna add a 4 channel amp to really bring my speakers to life.

I have never had any Infinity car speakers have any problems at all, vocals are great, mid bass is good, and the bass is great out of the 6x9,s

from what i have heard and listened to i think Infinity like JL Audio has better, louder and more crisper highs then Alpine but i think the alpine has a better overall sound. depends on what you like low or highs or both. i have 6.5in alpine type r in front and JL Audio TR 6x9 in rear and the jl are louder and crisper in highs but produce solid bass but is not as loud as the bass produced out of the alpine 6.5 type r. Infinity can easily compete with jl in the highs
