Radio problems
I have a 2006 monte carlo Ltwith the stock head unit and every once in a whileI will turn the car on and the radio is stuck at a certain volume or will have no volumeand will only play out of a certain speaker (usually the front right). To resolve thisI have to pull the fuse out and it resets. Anyone with this problem or why its happening or howI can prevent this from happening.

I'm not an Automotive Sound and Consumer Electronics Expert; but I play one on TV.
Your Factory Head Unit is Defective, or something much worse ... Haunted.
You could try bringing it in to a Dealer but when you do it's going to be operating perfectly when they check it out.
You're going to need an Exorcism to rid that Radio of the Demons possessing it.
When the radio just plays Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow, no matter what frequency you tune it too; It won't be long until you start hearing messages about how you should slow down and pay more attention to the road.
Then, the audio drops right out, and no sound comes out of any of the speakers, so the OnStar workers can listen-in on any "Special Moments" you got going-on in the Monte!
Paleface need strong medicine to fix Monte!
Need Witch Doctor; quick-quick.

RE: Radio problems
I'm a also have a 2006 Monte SS with stock stereo head unit issues. I have not come across the exact issues you are facing. I am currently troubleshooting my own volume and sound clarity issues. I starting to have the opinion that these head units are of poor quality. A replacement of our stock head units with an aftermarket brand might be our best solutions.
