I bolted my seats right to the floor. There adjusted for me to drive and passenger seat to match. I'm the only one that drives turbo monte so no seat adjustments are needed.

with racing seats if you are going to turn the monte into a racecar why not just take out the back seats completely for weight reduction.

you could go the firebird route and try to find 2 bucket seats for the back.. if they make anything like that i have no clue but i guess that pretty much follows what turbo monte was suggesting. personally i would just take them out.. theres got to be something you could do with that extra room but a roll cage would be overkill...

Never recorded 0-60mph I went 12.80 at 113mph with a 60ft time of 2.3sec on my old setup (small turbo small downpipe, old trans)

I'm currently doing more upgrades and rebuilt the trans with different gearing etc and I'm guessing it will go mid 11's with a good hook and good 60ft.

Old setup was only making around 400whp and my new setup should put me around 550whp but all this will be proved soon.

Dyno in spring and track this coming fall after show season is over.

I do have videos of the track pass on YouTube and can provide pic of time slip. I also have videos of numerous 30-110ish pulls on YouTube as well.

My guess is your 0-60 is around 4.5-5 based on how bad your turbo lag is. I may be off but I'm guessing on your weight and horse power compared to similiar builds u have seen. How long does it take your turbo to spool up anyways john? Just curious.

my small turbo hardly had any lag. The big turbo has major lag but was still on the old tune and then the trans broke before I had a chance to tune it. I'm being told once tuned correct it will have about a second to second and a half lag till it starts coming into boost.

You can have the same exact turbo and on one car spool almost instantly and then on the other car be very laggy. It all depends on tune, exhaust flow, etc. For example the turbo headers I just ordered will help tremendously with reducing lag. If you have a boat load of timing before coming into boost it will be less laggy but if you don't have a lot of timing commanded before boost comes in it will be very laggy.

Another factor in lag deals with the ar housing you select. You can have a huge turbo with a small ar wheel and spool very quick or have a small turbo and big ar and spool very slow etc. I went with a big turbo and a big ar wheel hoping for a little lag off the line to help hook and command a ton of timing before boost to get rolling and then come into boost. I also have a near stock converter flash point so no high stall.

Big ar wheel= a little more lag but way more top end power
Small ar wheel= less lag but less top end power

My theory we are front wheel drive we can take a little lag in hopes of a better hook up and utilize more power top end where we won't spin.

Sorry for hijacking your thread
