Question about OEM headunit. . .
I have a system hooked up to the stock headunit. . .it worked beautifully until my aftermarket intake rubbed through some wires on the PCM and shorted the car out. . .well after I got everything fixed and back to running order I noticed my amp was really acting funny. . .turned out that when my car shorted, it reversed polarity on the amp, for instance, it'd work when I turned the key to ACC, but not work when I turned the car ON. And, it completely reversed the built infan on the amp. Well I thought that was all that happend. . .BUT, this is a question/statement. . . My question is, our stock headunits can play CD-R's and CD-RW's correct? Because before my car shorted, I had CD-RW's and CD-R's playing in it. Now given, mp3's don't work. Anyways, my headunit won't play CD-RW's anymore. . .but it will play CD-R's. I've tested it with brand new CD-RW's with the same songs as the CD-R andnow I get the message stateing "Error Check CD". . .is there a way to reset the headunit, or am I gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a new one? Thanks in advance.
