question about factory radios?

RE: question about factory radios?
So what is the AUX button for? Or is it just fake. I would love to connect an ipod or something up to it instead of using the crappy FM interface.

the AUX, is there for if you have the factory CD changer in teh car it runs threw that.
I have heard btu not sure about it that they make a cord for the I pod to interface with it in a stock system
Not sure honestly
I have the new Pioneer DVD player with the flip out screen and just hooked the I pod up in to the RCA's on it. so i didn thave to argue that issue.
But worht a serch on Crutchfeild for it or even Ipod .com

If your interested in using your factory stereo's aux, which is for the aux CD changer, you can check out P.I.E. which sales interfaces so you can hook other equipment up through that aux hook up. I used it for a kenwood music keg I had, and sounds like it would have worked if I know how to disconnect the XM satellite that came installed, but still have my onstar. The problem is I didnt cont. the XM, but it still plays like Emergeny alerts around the clock and preview's on the stations where XM would be and thats where the keg is trying to play. So you can hear my music keg songs in the back groud.
