Passenger Side Headlight screwy?!
Hello all,
I've lost all power to the passenger side HIGH BEAM. At first I thought it was a bulb, so I replaced it, but I still have no power. I'm exhausted from doing the radio installation all day so I didn't dig into the problem, but I was wondering if you guys could give me an idea where to start to look. Thanks!

No, I think this all happened when I was replacing the cover on the dash. As I was replacing it over the steering column I had to pull the multifunction switch towards me, and I think as the cover settled it kept moving it back and forth. I think it may have blown a fuse or something. But I'm fairly positive it wasn't a wire.

LOL, no I haven't checked anything yet except for the bulb that I replaced. Then it started to snow, so the combination of that and the radio installation, I just gave up.

You wouldn't happen to know if each headlight has a seperate fuse would you? Also, where would they be located? I know there is a fuse panel on each side of the dash and one under the hood. With the weather getting bad, I don't want to hang around outside too long.

If you have power to one light and not the other ... it's not the fuse! Pull the Plug that the Bulb plugs into and test the contacts with a Test Light. If you are getting 12 Volts at the Connection ... the problem is Bulb related. You can test the Bulb with a VoltMeter; too.
Pulling that Multifunction Switch is a bit of work ... huh? I earned my Merit Badge doing that job a few time this week. You might even try unseating the connection of the Multifunction Switch to the Wiring Harness for good measure. Maybe you got a bad connections and just need to re-seat that connection in the harness tight.
I know my light are acting funny with that Switch being bad. I don't get High Beams and sometime it gets caught "In the middle" and I have NO Lights at all.
I'm tired of messing around with it. I'm going to bite the bullet and get a new Switch and be done with messing-around taking the Switch Body off and crawling up under the dash to unplug the connection to the Wiring Harness.

I haven't been having any problems with my headlights at all until this happened. I'm also noticing that it's only happening with the hi beams as I am getting power tothe low beams on both sides. Any ideas?
