Default Oh my Type r! :D

Finally got the Amp working today, the inline fuse blew which is a life saver Anyways hooked everything up and at first the sub was barley pumping. It seemed like the P2 I had was louder Then i remembered that the amp was tuned to that sub, so i started fiddling around and wow is all i can say. Its wired to 4 ohm, i placed a wire across the negative and positive to do this. Its the Alpine type r 1021d with Dual 2ohm voice coils. But man im surprised! Cant wait to start listening more to it! How many of you guys have Type R's?

Excellent - Glad to hear it was only the fuse and nothing more serious.

Also does anyone know how i can get max power out of the amp? Reading at cructhfield it says i can get 400W RMS at 4 Ohms and 800 at 2 Ohms, i know i cant wire the sub to 2 ohms but its at 4 ohms right now. Sony XM-DS1300P5 200W x 1 mono subwoofer amplifier at Crutchfield.com
