just got my new jenson 7" touch screen put in and i am very happy with it.....it has sat radio, direct ipod connect, camera for back up cameras, 2 aux ports, and av ports for video gameing systems........along with the new garmin gps also touch screen with voice commands and came with thousands of already installed points of intrest and sites....great for anyone who does travel or want to find ANYTHING....ANYWHERE...

i hate to complain but the monte carlo has the double din receiver, why not just get one that can fit into the factory hole perfectly and doesn't block the vents?

 

id much rather have a single din with a motorized one rather a double din. My car has enough nice things to steal, i dont want to give them another reason to get in.

 

I'm a double din fan myself. Never have to wait the annoying 2 seconds for the screen to pull out or worry about it breaking in cold weather. I think it looks better as well.

On the flip that is a nice system and mine doesn't come with a gps.

 

It don't look bad but a double din in the 06 and newer Monte's look so much better with the double din

 

Just found the GPS I'm looking for: Alpine NVE N852A DVD Navigation.

Last year they were on Ebay for $1200. Finally down to less than $700.

went for the single din because that way it is hidden more and that way poeple i dont want to see it dont...i got that one on sale...installed and all for 450

 

the wireing harness cost about 150 dallors because of everything runs through the radio when you turn the key off and the radio stays on but for the wireing and the tv and to have it put in (since i didnt feel like dealing with the wireing) it cost me 600
