Default New System ... need help fine tuning please!

Hey All,

Well I just put a new system in my 03 SS and it is a work in progress at this point. Right now I put (well I didn’t myself) a DEH-P680MP, 1200 wt JL amp, 2 JL 12W-1’s, Eclipse 3-ways in the back, and JL’s in the front. I don’t have my mids and highs amped yet (but will soon). What I am most wondering is what my subs frequency should be set to on my deck. I can choose 50Hz-63Hz-80Hz-100Hz-125Hz. Also for my high pass filter I have the same options. What should I have it on for that?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

ok for the subs put it on 80... make sure that you have your highs a 12.5<<<best if you dont want and bass out of your speakers in the front use the filter, if nto leave them the same and so not make the mistake of turning your bass up and blow all your speakers just turn up the sub output any other questions just post ill be here from now on

Baloo gave some good starting points but I would recommend that you play with the settings to find what sounds best to you with your setup. Not all systems can be tuned to sound good with the same settings/frequencies, on top of the fact that we all hear things differently and like things to sound differently. So start with his suggestions and then play with it to find what sounds best to you.
