If the theft lock was turned off, you should be able to plug it in and out as you wish, anytime, without problems.
My system is run off the back battery, and without the remote mount, the connector would just dangle anyway.
You should have no real problems, if you are happy with your settings, and you know how to reset your monitors.
You would only have to reprogram the old radio if you wanted to put it in a different car.

Here you're getting into personal preferences. It will depend upon your ultimate goal for the system. If you're an audiophile and aren't a super tuner with regard to port tuning or don't have an expert box designer helping you out, sealed is usually the way to go. Normally (read: not in all instances), sealed will give you a flatter reponse along the bass-filled frequencies with less roll-off than a ported enclosure. Also, sealed enclosures tend not to be as loud as ported but can more accurately reproduce the music. Ported enclosures, when designed properly, can have every benefit of a sealed enclosure and then some. Ported is geared around a particular frequency (your port tuning) that serves to accentuate (and if not properly designed, overproduce) a certain frequency range. Ported enclosures also have a steeper roll-off when moving towards the lower end. Personally, I have a ported enclosure (~1.5 cu ft per sub and ports tuned to 30Hz) and I am loving it. I had a truck for 5 years and had nothing but sealed in there, but still sounded fine. The difference I found was that I was able to get louder with the ported on lower power and smaller moving subs (Xmax of around 24mm in my truck sounds about the same as about 17mm in my car). Hope that helps some.

Typically speaking from heresay, Audiobahn subs are built more for sound than sound quality. I have never owned a pair nor have I heard a pair that I'm aware so I cannot attest to either. The generaly consenus that I've found is that they work best in ported applications. But I have heard a few folks say they sounded pretty good (musically speaking).
