hey, this may seem like a dumb question, but the guy i bought my monte from got a cassette stuck in the radio of my '88(it won't eject)...how do I pull out radio...does entire dash need to come off...i looked under dash/behind radio, and ther isn't a way to get to the radio...please help!!

 

on the 88 model itstill has the dash like the SS verions i belive
If so just take the 4 screws out of the face plate right by the radio and the whole thing should come out for ya.

as for the cassett.
take a butter knife and becarefule and you can move the door out of the way and press in on the eject button and kind of steer it and help it out of there.

most of teh time they are still good stereos it is just when they put the tape in it hung up or bounced funny and jambed in there.
but that will at least get some tunes for ya till it warms up some for doing surgury on the dash but they really are not hard to do .
