Welcome to the forum.

If you know the manufacturer and model number of the line converter I'd do a search for their web site and see if they have an installation guide available for download.

We need more information on the model and such to help you out.

When I've done them I've spliced into the rear speaker wire while keeping the speaker connected.

You can touch them to the wires to find out which will work if you don't have the model number, or if you have the model number we should be able to find out some information or a wiring diagram.

The only reason I suggest mounting the line-in converter by the rear speakers is so you have one less wire to run (RCA's) and if there's a bass boost **** on there it's easy to access. Other than that there's not a whole lot of benefits.

Is this a TruConnex or Fierce Audio brand?
