Default Led interior lights from factory lower dash sockets

Is there anyway to use the lower interior light sockets on each side of lower/floor panel dash with led light strips? O think it would make for a cleaner looking install.

As long as the strip you are using works with 12v, you should be fine. I replaced the bulbs in both of my Montes, I have red LED bulbs in the lower panel lights, regular white in the dome and map lights. But, the big trick is finding the right LED map lights to NOT flood out the red on the floor (I had to use pretty narrow/low illumination lights, lots of trial and error to find the best combo). And also using a red light with a strong light spread.

Looks great! Do you have a link to the bulbs you used?

Cheers.

I think these are what I used for the red:
Amazon Amazon

Pretty sure this is the dome light:
Amazon Amazon

But the map lights.... That was a quest via eBay for some off the wall type lights. Ebay shows me pics of stuff I ordered, but the sellers don't have links anymore. It was one of these two that did it (one worked perfect and the other was a failure for what I was doing). I ordered both at the same time "just because" it was cheap enough to do it and test for the right one. And it was a bit of a pain sifting around eBay and Amazon to try and find these. As I said, you want a LOW illuminating light for the dome light (which is NOT typical for people going to LED). Even low illumination is as good as incandescent.
If you go all red LEDs then what I went through is a non-issue, just go for a good broadcasting red LED.

Thanks! I saw some reviews of burning/fire with some led. The ones I want red are for the floorboards in front. They aren't on too much so I don't think that will be an issue. Like you said, try a few. It's basically a T10 bulb and has a lot of compatibility from what I can see.

Looks great! I really like the colored lower look so you have normal lighting if you need to read something. And the spread of those red lights works really well!

Default Lights not on when driver door opens

I noticed my interior lights don't turn on when driver door is opened. Lights do turn on when passenger door is opened. They also turn on with headlight **** and when car is turned off. Any ideas what's wrong? Bad switch in driver door?

I would assume there is a switch to control the lights coming on when the driver's door is opened. You may have to find where it is and diagnose if it is the switch or problem in the wiring causing issues.
