Hey guys,

I am very new to car electronics, as my 2001 Monte Carlo (with on-star no bose no steering wheel controlls) is my first car!

I am looking to install a Pioneer DEH-X6600BT because I really wanted an aux imput and decided I wanted blue-tooth as well.

I just want to make sure I am ordering all the parts I will need and confirm that I will have to loose the use of my message center display and security chimes.

I dont use on star and would like to avoid spending upwards of 100 on a harness so I would like to use this [/COLOR] to retain chimes and message center. Is there a cheaper option?

And a properly fitting dask kit and antenna adapter.

My main concern is what stock features I will be loosing (other than on-star because it doesnt matter to me).

If I have to sacrafice too much I will prpbably just end up using an isimple unit .

You could always call Crutchfield, they are pretty helpful on the 'how to' stuff
