Default Larger Throttle Body?

Alright guys, your expertise so far has been great. I would like yet some more advice (yes, I'm quite annoying, I know). I would like to know if with me getting a CAI soon, and a catback system, if it would even be worth it with these little mods, nothing to the engine itself, to upgrade to a larger throttle body. I have a non-supercharged 3.8L. I am thinking of taking my car to a dynoshop after I do this and have the computer retuend for all of this and 93 octane, so what do you think? Shoudl I upgrade the throttle body?

Oh, and back to my thermostat question... if I were to have my computer retuned, should I go on with the thermostat to?

You would really only benefit from a larger throttle body once you install a new exhaust and when you're sucking in true cold air from outside of the car, not sucking in warm air from the engine. If you ARE going to go with a new CAI, i'd suggest going with a fender well intake.

I'd replace the t-stat to a 180 degree either way, they're cheap.

yep deff go for the larger TB. its a very good mod.

also go look at ZZPerformance.com they sell something called a HV3 high velocity intake insert. it is like having a ported intake manifold. deff a good mod too

i forgot to mention... what size should i get? somehow i'm thinking the cadillac north star throttle body is a bit much. what should i get for a non-supercharged 3800? i'm thinking about following your advice and getting the intake insert from zzperformance along with his 68mm throttle body... would this be sufficient or should i try for something bigger. i want to get a cold air intake still, probably one to go along with a ram air hood and be done with my car. i'm really thinking hte 68mm... and i'm wondering if the stage 2 thing would be worth the extra $150. also, what good would a throttle body spacer do me, if any?

the high velocity intake thing shows it taking a bit away from teh low end performance.... what do you guys think i should do? is it worth it for hte top end? and also, is it worth it to tune for the 180 degree thermostat or just leave it be?

Ok:
-TB spacer is a YES
-Velocity insert is a go. yeah you might loose a little low end power, but with the better TB and Spacer you will gain throtle responce that will make up for the loss of power....
-Stage 2 all the way! if you can afford it its deff the way to go.
