i need help! ASAP

Default i need help! ASAP

i am trying to get my amp to come on when the stock stereo does, i do not want my amp to have a constant voltage so its on all the time. when i turn my radio on i want my amp to come on, when i turn the car off and the stock radio shuts off i want my amp to turn off. any help??? i got no clue what is going on, its a 2000 SS...

wait so u havent changed anything with ur radio and ur stock amp doesnt want to turn on? is that what u mean?

as in, onboard amp or aftermarket amp for subs? your going to need to put a switch in between the radio and the amp turn on wire. most aftermarket amps have it as the blue wire...

i ran a switch between my amp and the radio fuse on my fuse block, sooo whenever i want my amp/subs on, i have to manually flip the swtich... not a big deal. so u could do that if youd like.

ok i figured it out on the fuse panel to the left of the driving wheel is a brown wire which is the second accesory wire, that way when you turn the key to acc only the radio and a few other things work. so i cut the brown wire and wired my remote amp wire into it so that it will be on whenever my radio is.
