Default how to fix broken rear defroster tabs?

Hi my rear defroster doesn't work. It bothers me so much, come to find out the tab broke off from the rear window. I guess when the guy tinted my windows years ago he kind of bent it because I remember it being bent, but now it completely broke off. What should I use to re secure it to the rear window to complete the circuit again? soldering is something I want to stay away from because of the angle, and the fact that I don't have one.

Google rear window repair kits. I had to do it for my 2004 Monte. I don't have the link I used anymore.

Auto zone would be worth checking out. I just do most of my auto-shopping on-line

I used the Permatex kit to repair the defroster tab on the rear window of my S10 Blazer:

http://www.permatex.com/products/aut...Repair_Kit.htm

Follow the instructions to the letter and you shouldn't have any problems. I let the repair sit overnight before I slid the wire terminal back on to the tab to make sure it had set up. It was easy to use, and the defroster was still working about a year later when I sold the truck. You should be able to find it at your local Autozone or O'Reilly parts store.

Default I fixed mine

I used a small loop of wire with a male terminal on one end. The other end I applied solder to. Then climb in the car and heat it together quick. The loop of wire provides more slack to make the connection without tugging on the solder joint.

so I have found out my local autozone has the Permatex kit in stock, weird because in my old town they didn't have anything like that. Anyways I'm going to fix it, maybe make a How to on it.
