Default Horn Relay

Ok just got the car today (o4 Supercharged) and the first mod I want to do is to get rid of the horn sound when I hit the remote door switch. Is there an easy way by just removing a wire on the horn, or to take a relay out?

Thanks in advance!

I thought all late model GM's would have a silent arm on the first click and a horn on the second click of the key fob???

Maybe the previous owner changed the programming. I think I've read that for your year it has to be done through the radio.

You probably would just set it to factory default. I really don't know though so I will back off.

This feature is turned on/off through the factory radio.. if this is not available then you must bring the car to a dealer so they can program using the Tech 2.

Enter Programming Mode
Perform the following steps in order to enter the programming mode:
[ol]Press the DISP button on radio for at least 10seconds.
Press the SEEK button to scroll through the menu. [/ol]
Remote Activation Verification
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the remote activation verification feature:
[ol]Scroll through the menu, using the SEEK button, until FOBHORN is displayed.
Press the DISP button to enter the menu.
Press the PREV or NEXT button to scroll through the following options: OFF PARTIAL FULL Press the DISP button in order to choose the desired option. A chime will sound to verify the setting. [/ol]

Thanks I got my owners manual last week and figured this out. Now if I can just get the Homelink to work. I followed the instructions in the Owners Manual, but I guess the garage door does not send the signal the Homelink is looking for.

Make sure you clear your previous owners homelink before you program yours. Don't remember how, but that's probably your problem. It's in the owners manual.
