Default head light problems

my passenger side headlights are out, i mentioned it in the HID thread, but the problem seems deeper than dead bulbs they went out last week, 2 days later i checked the voltage of the light output, it was 10 volts on the bad side.

i was doing some work under the hood today, so i tinkered with them, tried swapping ballast, tried swapping bulbs, they wernt blown, i now also read nothing on the harness, either after the bulb or at the harness its self. both hights and lows are out, both read 0 right now. last week, i installed a new brain for my alarm because i was having issues, i smelt something burning a day later, head lights been out since...i suspect something has gotten crossed.

On your fuse diagram, it shows there is a relay switch for the headlamps but its actually not located in the fuse box or behind the wire harness if you unbolt it. The relay on the 2004 monte is located above the pedals under the steering area. If you lay back on the driver floor board & look up you will find it. About a month ago my headlights would not work but my parking & tail lights would. I thought it was the relay switch but there are a group of wires in the same area as the relay switch. Once those wires were moved my headlights worked. Since it seemed to be a loose connection I jumped the wire to were the connection is to secure it. I have had no more issues since.
