Default ipod compatability

Just installed a pioneer DEH-2200UB CD/RECIEVER W/ipod usb port hookup well i bought a new ipod shuffle 2gb..found out its not compatable w/stereo, i guess it pays to do a little research!!!I can still use it around the house/walking..brett

Do they sell an additional wire to plug into the newer iPod? I know crutchfield does that for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Yea looked into plug...went on pioneer site and my ipod issa 4th gen it says nnnnnn across all compatability..tomm ill call crutchfield tech and see what they say..i havnt given up yet...brett

the shuffle has 1 port, the reciever has usb and aux ports...

ya i had a ipod nano and had to get the ipod touch because i had the same problem with my pioneer

Its not like i cant use it...but i $$$ a cheap one..49.00 for the sole purpose of useing it for the stereo, so i didnt have to cart my cds in car anymore.It does sound good thru my 100.00 headphones though!!Looks like i gotta piece of chex hooked to them haha!!!

Did some research thru crutchfield...Ide have to purchase a Scosche FM mod02 FM modulator, if ya wanna hear a lotta hiss it would work!!!Not for me..Ill stick to cds...haha..

haha sorry to hear!!!

I just run a cheapo FM transmitter on my iPod touch. Volume has to be 50% or higher to even hear it, but it works well enough.
