Flat Screen Head Units
I recently just bought myself a 2006 Monte Carlo LT. The whole car is stock at the moment. I was wanting to switch out the my head unit before putting in at least 1 JL W7 either 12 or 13. The head unit I have been looking at recently is the Poineer AVH-P4100DVD that is to be released in the near future. I was just wondering if a head unit of that type would be able to fit in the car with out major work on the dash or ac/heat controls, and if so what harness and other things would be needed to put that in the car.

06-07's have a double din cause i have a jvc 7 inch screen in mine. also have 2 12w7's beating powered by a 4000 amp, had 12w3v2's and they beat hard. the w7s beat even harder, you will notice all lights dimming!

RE: Flat Screen Head Units
I went with 2 12W6s and the JLAudio 1000/1. My lights are on the borderline of flickering. My installation guru told me that the 1000/1 would power 1 12W7, but not 2, and he assured me that I would have severe rattling of EVERYTHING if I ran 2 of the 12W7s. It would shake the car apart, as I have seen too many times with others systems. Nothing sounds worse than someone pulling up beside you with their subs booming and their car rattling so bad it sounds like it is falling apart next to you. I wanted 2 subs, as I was upgrading from 1 12W3. My car has NO rattling with the 12W6s. Do you guys that have 2 12W7s have rattle issues? I can't hardly imagine commuting 2 hrs a day with my car rattling from subs. Also the box required for the 12W7 or 13W7 is MUCH larger than what the 12W6s are, and that was an issue for me.
