One day I got in my car, my head unit turned on like normal but got no sound. I have a 2000 monte SS with the factory amplifier. I think either this or the head unit is the problem. The deck is an aftermarket kenwood. I Usually have a sub hooked up but i dont right now..Right when I turn my car on I get no sound but after driving for a few minutes I hear a little bit starting to fade in then it goes from speaker to speaker turning on slowly until I get full sound back. I'm thinking it has to be something with the factory amp going bad... If anyone has an idea of what may be happening please let me know!

 

Did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem now in my 2000 MC I've bought a new radio and everything
