Double Din Touchscreen Installed...

RE: Double Din Touchscreen Installed...
Nice, I don't think I could ever go with a single din in a double din car, looks too tacky to me.
Hopefully I'll be able to get one sometime this summer.
As for your ACC locating problems I couldn't really help you out much, I know when I installed the PAC for my subs I looked to see if I might be able to find one, but was unable to do so.

What do you do about the car configurations you used to be able to change in the stock radio, oil changes, tire pressures reset, headlight delay etc......???

RE: Double Din Touchscreen Installed...
You can still reset the oil life etc other ways......
if you look in the user manual it gives all the info for resetting without using the the actual stereo .....
the only thing that you lose is the the actual "Chime" that goes along with the warning and the "Chime" when you have the keys in the ignition, off and the door open.....
You can keep these by either relocating the stock unit in the trunk or something... or crutchfield has something that mimicks the "chimes" with some wiring....
I opted to do without those "chimes" myself.....

Problem Solved!
So it turns out that you have to go ahead and buy the $100 harness that includes the Data Bus
Interface to get the ACC wire.....
After I got this everything wired right up.....
It also kept all chimes and any alerts with a setting to make the "beeping" a little less audible
heres a pic

RE: Double Din Touchscreen Installed...
Love the touch screen, but watch your back! Where do you live? You couldn't go 2-weeks in St. Louis without someone trying to break into your car and get that. I had the flip-up Alpine touch screen in my last car (GTP) and if it wasn't for it being detachable face, someone would have stolen it. My car was broken into and they tore the front up looking for the face.
I would like the double din, but none of them are detachable face.

RE: Double Din Touchscreen Installed...
Well I live just south of Nashville, TN......
It has been a problem in the past (I used to have a Pioneer AVIC D3) but it got ripped off less than 3 months after I got it installed [:@]....it's ok I got a $1800 insurance check!!
Thats one reason why I opted for this Clarion which was about half the price....ALSO I now own my own home and park in my garage rather than the street and/or parking lot....So that Helps a Little
I am SUPER EXCITED now that I fixed my prob and can actually rock my stuff....YESSIR!!
