Does anyone know how to disable the door chime on a 99 monte carlo. It doesn't bother me but on the weekends i use the car as a stereo up in my woods and with the key turned to accessory and the drivers door open all you can hear is the dinging. i could turn the key to the run position but i have automatic lights so the lights turn on. is there any way to disable the chime or atleast turn off the lights with car not running? thganks for any help i have looked everywhere online and cant seem to find anything

 

Not sure how to disable the door chime, but if your parking brake is on, your headlights shouldnt come on with the key on.
