There is no such thing as a 7th generation Monte Carlo, ask General Motors.

we know zeke they call it the 6.5 type but we know it is different sound system front end is different. different engines as well as some other minor changes. thats why we call my gen the 7th gen do to the differences. in the 6th and 7th gen there are no power mods exept for the ss and thats about it the 3500 v6 no mods the ss there are mods. thats the difference with what we call 6th and 7th

bascially the people on this site and most other monte enthusiasts that I've talked to call it 7th gen because of this reason. there's a noticeable difference in both interior, exterior and engines, so I see a decent reason for it to be considered a different generation

but everything else is completely different from the engine to the entire front end, different spoiler and trunk and rear bumper, the side skirts are different along with the interior including the dash and center council.

that makes it a completely different car so in my eyes it would only make sense to make it a separate generation

Stop arguing about what we call it. We have discussed NUMEROUS times on the forum why we call it a 7th Generation. NO it is not GM Officially called a different generation, but when trouble-shooting on a forum if everyone comes on and says they own a 6th Gen and it's a 2006, we might give the wrong information. Since the engines are different, so we don't have to ask which of the 6 possible engines it could be, we call it a 7th Generation on this forum.

Besides, this thread is about floor mats
