Comparable sub?

That Type R is a great sub for the price. They perform very well, rivalling subs that cost twice as much or more, but they're kinda power hungry. If you do go with that, you might consider upgrading to at least a 500 watt amp later on to get the sub's full potential. It will still sound good with the amp you have though.
Make sure you get a proper enclosure for it too. The enclosure you use will make or break the system.

Thanks for the info guys. What kind of enclosure would you recomend? Sealed or ported?
Also, my amp is a brigiable mono block. The box says 790watts at one bridged channel. So wouldn't that be enough then?

You have the 760 watt Pioneer right? If so, it's a two channel that can be bridged to 380 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The 760 watts is a max rating, the amp doesn't actually make that much power. In the future, only look at RMS ratings because they're what the amp actually produces.
I'm a sealed enclosure guy personally, but a ported enclosure would be louder. It's really up to you and the sound you're looking for.

i "look" on woofersect.com all the time.
ive read numerous forums and blogs and what not about them selling "grey maket gear" which has either "fallen off a truck", stolen, last years model, knock off.
you may get lucky and get a real product, but just know that no manufacturer will repair that sub nor amp if it breaks.
they are very cheap, almost too cheap on some stuff. thats why in my personal opinion i thinks there too good to be true.
i know sonicelectronix.com isnt an autherized dealer for a lot of things either, but have heard many great reviews of there site.
GL
10 - heart punding, fast hitting, no low-low frequencies
12 - a little bit of everything, most ppl have 12's
15 - hits very low tones, misses notes, heavy bass - mostly for show or comp

Yeah, I've heard of some shady business at woofersetc before, seems to be hit or miss I guess. I think Type Rs can be found on eBay pretty cheap brand new actually.
You can also make any size sub sound good for whatever music, it's really just dependent on enclosure specs. Put a 15" sub in a properly built sealed box and it'll hit just as "fast" as a 10".
