Chevy Logo on Steering Wheel
For quite some time, I thought GM should have made the Chevy logo on the steering wheel red to match the other badging on the car (at least on the SS models, since the SS models have the red Chevy Bowtie outline on the trunk).
The best thing I would think the make it red myself was using what most call "Puffy Paint". Last night I stopped at Michael's Craft Store and picked up Scribbled 3D Paint - Deep Red.
I had to use a tooth pick for some of the application, due to the fine nature of it. Overnight, the paint settled in an flatted a bit. Today, I looked andit doesn't look too bad. The biggest down side it trying to get nice, crisp, straight edges. I was originally going to mask the area so I could lift the mask, but I was concerned it would pull the paint right out (it is a SMALL and THIN area).
Anycase, what does everyone think of my 30 minutes of work and $1.26 invested mod? I'm open to ideas of how to make it better.
Though, I have to say, I was impressed when my wife said it looks good and she agrees GM should have made it red too (sometimes she thinks I've gone a little off the deep end).

Thanks guys! Glad I got MCF approval on this tiny touch.... Looking at it in person, I have a tiny amount of touch up to do. I'll probably do it tonight.
And hopefully this has inspired some of you guys. Too bad there is not a simple aftermarket stick on piece for this....
