Check engine bulb help

Default Check engine bulb help
I have a 2000 ss and my check engine light it broken...i think the previous owner broke it because i never heard of those bulbs breaking like that so if i just cut the bulb out and re solder a new one in would it work fine or do i need to just buy another cluster? Thanks

How do you know that the bulb is broke? What are the symptoms that you're having?
