Pioneer brake wire
#2
I have the Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD Deck and I didn't run my park wire. I put in a parking brake bypass so that I could play video while driving."Disclaimer: It is illegal in most if not all states to have video playing while driving that is a distraction to the driver but I did it so my passengers could watch it". Its just a relay wired up to trick the deck into thinking it is in park. You can find them on eBay. Otherwise you will have to run the wire to the parking brake wiring. If I remember correct it needs to go to the power wire that is connected to the parking brake switch. It should be located close to the parking brake itself.

its all good guys, i hooked it up to the parking brake. Anyhow i installed my jbl 3 way door speakers today and during installation I snipped the wires going to the stock tweeter thinking I wont need them. I have to say that the speakers are considerable more quiet than the stock. These are 60 watt rms 120 max. I'm thinking I should hook the stock tweeters back up.

Video answers your question.
The brake wire has to be ground but after the deck it powered on and running. The relay which goes to ground clicks on after the deck powered up and then grounds it.
Kenwoods can be grounded all the time but pioneer can only be ground after it powers on.
