cd wont work

Default cd wont work

2002 ss cds get kicked out saying check cd some did play now all get kicked out. they are new not burnt. I was looking on ebay saw reman oem radio for 125.00 are they easy to switch? Also says has to be reprogramed with vin# by dealer do they have to to work? Any advice would sure help dont know much about it. Thanks Butch and Heartbeat .

Yes, if you install a different OE CD player it will need to be programmed with your VIN. Have you tried a cleaning disc on the optical lens? Some people have had luck resolving this problem using one of those.

A different radio will need to be programmed by a dealer. I think they do it for under 100 dollars. I would try cleaning it with a standard CD cleaner like Mike said. You can get them at walmart.

Default Any ideas

Thanks for the help tried cd cleaner it poped out saying check cd. Im ready for aftermarket radio Something simple that looks good any ideas?

Crutchfield.com is very helpful. If you buy something from them they have really good tech support and you can get all the adapters you need right from them. Some of them for free.
They may be a little pricey but if you shop around the site you should find a good deal.
