also what you could do is run a new new power wire stright to the battery for memory, new ignition wire to accorries in the fuse box and a new ground to the frame somewhere. it will work then just run an the wires stright the speakers or an amp. the only problem it everytime to turn your car off you might have to maually turn off the head unit

This will solve the issues with teh head unit but if there is anythign else cut up on the car it will not help that matter at all So still better to replace the harness and do the plug thing on it and get it over with
