this will make just about any unit work them go to the top pull down menu and to the steering wheel interface pick the one that is right for you as long as the unit has a remote it will work

yeah they said the same thing to me about mine also. IT WONT WORK, i have been enjoying it for over a year now. So i guess you can belive them or chose not to, I installed mine and it looks pro,done.
and you would never know it is not suposed to fit.
The only thing mine dose that i can see they dont like about it is when the screen is up it will block the vents in the dash behined the screen, Personnaly this is not a issue for me as i raely use those vents anyway. And if i want to i can close the screen and use them.

Just to sum up and add a point. Out of the box there aren't any aftermarket stereos available that come configured to use the steering wheel controls.
You need to get an aftermarket adapter to get this added.
