I hear ya there. Alpine W200 DVD player.

As for the overall question, I don't think the brand name really matters when you get down to it. I don't know anyone that can listen to 2 of the same speaker by different manufacturers and call it. I would just get a set of speakers that match your system. EG: if you are going to pump 500 watts of bass, don't hook it up to a 100 watt tweeter. Get a solid 500 watt subwoofer from a good manufacturer: Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Fozgate, JBL, etc.

It's like comparing who has the most powerful stock engine: The supercharged 3800 in the Grand Prix or the one they put in the 04 Monte.

All JL Audio here now. 12"W6s in the trunk, 6x9s in the rear tray, and component 6 1/2 in the doors with mating tweeters in the A-pillars. Amps are JL Audio.
The 1st time posted on this thread I had Pioneer speakers, but since the big upgrade, the ONLY thing Pioneer now is the deck and satellite tuners.

I'm picking up my 1995 Monte Carlo sometime next week..What type of setup should I get?
I want the setup to be all the same brand.Yea I'm picky like that..My car is red so I was thinking of going for the Sony X-plod setup (Black & Red)..My question I guess is this..What speakers should I get/Will fit..With what amp, subs and aftermarket cd player??

Dynaudio components for the front. Haven't installed them. Trying to determine where to putseparate tweeters. I had Dynaudio in my last car. Not cheap, but sound quality is excellent. Inifinty Kappa 693.7i for the rear deck.
