Default bluetooth

does the 06/07 monte ss come with a Bluetooth option?...on rearview mirror I see a phone pic...next to that I see a blue onstar buttom...on the steering wheel is a pic that looks like a Bluetooth buttom....just wondering..tks Bill

Not that I know of - I fiddled with it when I got the car - all I could get was people asking me questions in Spanish.

Manual, 3-34
Your vehicle may be equipped with a Talk/Mute button that can be used
to interact with OnStar.

See Audio Steering Wheel Controls on page 3-83 for more information.


Here's the part on 3-83
(Mute/Voice Recognition): Press and release this button to silence the system. Press and release this button again, to turn the sound on. If your vehicle has OnStar, press and hold this button for longer than one second to interact with the OnStar system.

when I first got my 06ss...I was checking it all out, under the steering wheel there is a big cover..covering the steering colum..inside of it was something that looks like a Bluetooth thing but wasn't sure of what it really was. ...the other day I was looking at some of my paperwork for the car...I found a piece of paper that was for the thing under the steering wheel...I got to looking at it and went to the car to check it out...sure enough it is a Bluetooth kit...how cool...guess the 1st owner had it installed..and it works...hahaha...really cool.....Bill

I have a Scosche aftermarket BT adaptor, the kind that is wired in and does not need to be recharged. The microphone is mounted on the overhead console, the control buttons are on the windshield in the blacked out area.

mine is a voicecom bt kit...hardwired in also...speaker is wired to dr. side door speaker...mic is right under the rearview mirror...
