Default annoying problem

i have the most annoying problem... 1st off im not the do it yourself type of guy i usually take it to a shop and have it done

i have the kenwood DDX512 double-din, kenwood 1800W monoblock amp 1 farad cap.., 2 15" kicker CVR's in a sealed box (yeah i know)

the system slams.... im happy with everything except for my highs as my bass is starting to overun my words..

but my recent problem is when i turn the volume past i would say 27/28.... my subs go out i just lose all my bass

now if i turn it down back to lets say 19 or 20.. theyll come back on within a matter of seconds.....
whats this mean?? time for a yellow top battery?? high output alternator??

help would be appreciated cuz these shops are tryna charge me to rewire my car like thats gonna help.. i know its not that.. or at least i hope its not

YEa its probably a battery, your pulling too much power from it, and until the alternator puts in more, its done.

Default RE: annoying problem

check to see if the amp shuts off or not. I had a very similar problem when i would turn it up loud. the problem was that the connection on the battery was loose because the ring terminal thing that is attached to the back of the batt post where you can add other stuff, the nut could not tighten anymore so there was some play and the bass would shake it a little loose and shut the amps off. just added a locking washer and problem solved.
