Okay...

I did track down a few sites (busy day at work, heh) that listed wiring diagrams. I have NO idea if these are accurate or not yet. The sites don't mention the factory amps or anything, just the speaker lead colors coming out of the HU. If these colors ARE accurate and remain constant all the way to the amp, I'm set. If anyone can verify or dispute these, please do so!

Front R + ~ lt. green
Front R - ~ dk. green
Front L + ~ tan
Front L - ~ grey

Rear R + ~ dk. blue
Rear R - ~ lt. blue
Rear L + ~ brown
Rear L - ~ yellow

disregard the above info, it's wrong. Just going off memory alone, I know my front left speakers were blue/white for mid and black/red for tweeter.

The wires you mention are already crossed over. Are they maybe the ones that leave the amp/crossover? Maybe the ones leading from the HU to the amp are different? I was under the impression there weren't seperate high and low signals coming from the hu.

Not disputing you, just trying to figure the damn thing out!!!

Thanks for the reply!!

ah, you were listing the color of the wires on the back of the head unit? I was looking for the color/polarity on the back of the speakers.

i would still like to know what color is the trigger wire for that factory amp.
But also to help give you a heads up. there are tow seperate plugs under there one is from HU the other gose out to some place unknowen LOL

but the easyest way i found to work on it was the kick the back seats down and lay on your back it is right in front of you if you shve your head in to the trunk was one of the most comfortabel ones i had done. LOL

Hey Mickey,

I'm still trying to figure out the trigger line as well, so I can connect my new amp. If I figure it out, I'll let everyone know!

04MonteLS, I was listing the lines coming out of the HU. I will be running them into the high-level inputs of my aftermarket amp, and just replacing all of the wiring leading to the new speakers. I didn't try and track down lead colors from the amp itself, as I plan on replacing it. Do those colors look right to you?

Thanks!!

Eric

hey if you cant find it just use your licens plate light and then all you have to do is turn on your park lights durring the day to trigger it,

Tha tis all i did for mine as a temp fix till i get the other head unit in,

Pluse if you cover the sensor on the dash you lose the DLR;s as a side effect

If I cannot track it down in the back, I'll run a lead up front to a switched line and tap in that way. Thanks for the tip though!
