Aftermarket Stereo in 4th Gen help
Okay so I bought a new Kenwood stereo and GM01 harness to plug everything up, but the harness came with an extra 12 volt constant yellow wire... so when I went to hook up the harness adapter to the stereo I only had the three plugs to put in the harness adapter, but the extra yellow 12 volt constant wire was left out and I have no where to plug it in. Can someone please help! The previous owner took their stereo out and I have no music to listen too when going to work

Mine didn't have any harness in it i had to wire it all strait from the stereo, i'd say just get rid of the wire end that they gave you for it, get yourself a inline fuse and some wire(parts store should have it all in one)with a male end and wire it to your fuse box, when you look at it should say BAT for the constant

that doesn't appear to be the right harness. you need a harness with a chime box, if you are trying to do it with out that unit than i can not help you, i woudln't know how to. but yellow is a constant hot. it is needed. so idk what you need to do.

yeah sorry, my bad im just so used to people having the new ones, most people I've seen around here have the 6th and 7th gens i can't help you i really don't know much about that harness and it loosk odd to me that the constant hot is external, you could run it to the bettery like that other guy is saying i believe that is a solution.
