Default Aftermarket Stereo

Hello all...I have a 2005 Monte Carlo SS with the stock stereo and amp installed. I was thinking of changing the factory stereo with a Pioneer AVIC-Z150BH....As to sound quality, will I have better sound with the Pioneer even tho Im keeping the factory amp??...Thank you

I found when I bypassed my factory amp it sounded better when I had my stock radio but when I swapped out my head unit I didn't get the sound I was expecting for a stock bose system so I upgraded all around

If you want a real noticeable sound difference I'd recommend to go all after market just depends what you wanna do

I've put many stereos in cars. My own and for others. Although I have an aftermarket stereo and speakers in my YelloJAC I did not install it. I only made it work. The thing you have to be aware of is the security system that runs through your factory radio. I don't have any experience with that But I'm sure many of the other members here can help with that.
If you want good Quality sound, I agree with Justin M. Replace the Head unit and the Speakers. And if you add a good amp you will have sound that is 500 times better than the factory stuff.
