So I just put all the audio stuff in my 5th gen a month or 2 ago. Now I may be getting a 6th gen. I want to reuse all my stuff except the front speakers. Do I need the $100 metra adapter, or can I disable the chimes some how? Is there a single DIN adapter available for the 6th gens?

 

well u should b able to use the same head unit without the harness and ull lose ur door chimes and yes u can buy a double din to single din adapter

 

so could i take a 5th gen harness and wire it into the monte's power and speaker wires, and then plug my head unit into that harness? Also, what wires are which? I can't find a diagram.

 

hmm idk about using the 5th gen harness for the 6th gen...i couldnt honestly tell u, as for the diagram pm me ur email i have the diagram but its too big for the forum
