Hello everyone

fender intake, 180 t-stat, u bend delete, custom 3.0 inch exhuast from cat back intake manifold gaskets at 113k, (looking at tuning option) and maybe removing the cat

(the rice burner project aka money pit)
94 acura integra ls bought it 2 years ago converted it from obd 1 to 2 swapped vtecmotor inside got stoker kit from 1.8l to 2.3l, Brian crower cams. 3 inch tb, gt35-r turbo at 12psi hondata s300 8lb flywheel, and heavy duty clutch, plexiglass tien racing coil overs 3k$$ and stripped like crazy i got the car down from 2600lbs to 1987lb with me inside. kills anything on the road above a 40mph roll vets, srt-4s mustangs

k now my monte is my dd so i need a full interior any weight i could drop?
sound damping, crash bar removal(i know its dangerous), any metal i could cut and weld up my own tubeular design.
i already removed the spare tire and put a bottle of tire sealant removed my 4 12s which helped alot and took of my 22 inch rims
i have a 2 welders and my dad is a pro at welding.. sorry if this is confusing been up 32 hours and 8 monsters wetsanding the car and fixing the rear bumper
*dont really have money for crazy mods since i spent over 11k in my project car*

How's the weather near you? You can drop AC and all that.

Ditch anything with a motor if you have the ability. Manual windows, manual seats (racing seats?)

Besides removing the carpeting and spare tire and all that, you can try to find the grand prix 16" rim, they were the lightest w-body rim that you can probably pick at a junk yard for cheap.

Not much you can do for major savings since you need the full interior

On a daily, I wouldn't think about removing power steering.

I definitely wouldn't remove the power steering on a daily driver. Are you willing to risk not being able to swerve out of the way of something important? Like a kid, or a dog, or the truck that just blew through that stop sign?

Keep the safety features in/on the car. I'd strongly suggest you put the crash bar back on. Reduce weight some other way. Like carbon fibre body panels. But paint them body color. Don't have a half carbon fibre and half body color car. Lightweight aluminum wheels like Chibi Mike suggested is a great idea too.

Now, I don't know what you look like. But if you're overweight, dropping the extra pounds would help too. Losing 40 pounds on my part would really help the performance of my car.

Greetings!

If your car is equipped with the standard brake package you could drop a few pounds by hunting through wrecking yards for the JB9 light weight performance brake package. Look for the RPO code 'JB9' on the label located on the inside of the trunk lid.

If you're looking for more torque or power ditch the 3" exhaust and go 2.5" and a highflow cat.

As already stated, get some racing seats in there, and drop the stock front seats. Not much you can do about the back seat, except take it out, but you want to leave the interior fully furnished.

Drop the A/C, drop down to 15 or 16" light wheels, steelies will be even lighter than an aluminum wheel.

Dropping P/S isn't going to afford you enough weight to justify removing it, granted I learned to drive without it, the times I need to slide the car down the driveway a bit and don't want to start it when it's cold for a 2 second move, so I slide it in neutral, the lack of power brakes and power steering kind of sucks after all.

Doubt that. Steelies are heavier than a lightweight aluminum rim. The torque stars are only like 15 lbs.

Depending on size - the steelies on my KIA are 15", and they are much lighter than the stock 16" aluminums on my LS. Granted the 1" reduction in size may be part of it.
