2006 monte carlo ss. Seat lever
Hey there,
I am wondering if anyone has had the lever on the back of the seats on the 06 malfunction. There is no more resistance on my lever anymore for the passenger seat and it is floppy. I'm guessing whatever spring that was used in the seat has snapped. Most likely due to one of my passengers pushing up on the seat when the lever was not pushed up all the way. Which is why I rarely have anyone in my back seat.
If anyone has had this problem, is it any easy fix? I took off the plastic covering and it looks like there is no room to work with. I dont even know how you would get inside the leather seat to work on it. The only way for me to get someone out of the backseat now is to reach over and pull the side lever then slide the seat up.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mine broke off practically as soon as I drove off of the lot. I've never bothered to fix it. Of course, mine didn't go all floppy on me.

Oh so you just had your lever break off. All these little parts that break shows just how cheap GM went with some parts.
Id like to fix this though, its gonna drive me crazy/
